OSCEOLA - Owen C. Wysong, 74, of Birchtree Drive, died Monday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Hoffman); a daughter, Deborah Rowe of Mishawaka; and two sons, Stephen of South Bend and Vern of Osceola. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Apostolic Temple, South Bend. Friends may from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend.
On Jan. 14, 1950, in Madison, Wis., he married Eleanor Hoffman. He is survived by his loving wife Eleanor of 51 years, along with a daughter, Deborah (Rev. Paul) Rowe of Mishawaka; two sons, Stephen (Lynn) Wysong of South Bend and Vern Wysong of Osceola. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Stacey Forrest, Tamara Lower, Jeffrey Rowe, Carrie, Cody, and Nick Wysong; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler Forrest and Noah Lower.
Mr. Wysong was preceded in death by a brother, Lavern Beckberger.
He retired as Staff Manager of Western-Southern Life Insurance Company where he was employed for more than 25 years. Previous to working with Western-Southern, he was a home builder in Wisconsin and Indiana. He was a member of Apostolic Temple in South Bend; was a model Airplane builder, and a member of Tri-Valley Radio Control Club. He served his country in the United States Army after World War II where he occupied Japan.
Services for Owen C. Wysong will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, Palmer Funeral Home, River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Peter Rowe and Rev. Paul Rowe will officiate. burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 1, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend.

Owen C. Wysong, age 74, residing on Birchtree Drive, Osceola, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Dec 30, 2002, in his residence. He was born Feb. 21, 1928, in Mishawaka, Ind., as the son of Raido and & Ilah (Horvater) Wysong and has lived in this area since 1962 coming from Wisconsin.On Jan. 14, 1950, in Madison, Wis., he married Eleanor Hoffman.
